What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Stonetime, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Tiny paleontologists, start digging” and the subhead says “Stonetime mails a monthly kit with a real fossil to excavate, a field guide and a story about its ancient world.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Petrified Wood, you replace Stonetime with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Petrified Wood is a dark template: a charcoal background (#1c1917), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a brown accent (#a16207) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 12.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with veined marble swirling, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Manifesto layout, shared with 93 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Petrified Wood's own.

How it compares
Within Nature, Petrified Wood stands out for its brown accent on a charcoal ground. If it is not quite right, Pebble Shore flips to a light off-white canvas with a sky blue accent and rolling waves (“Smooth stones, lapping waves”). Chalk Cliff flips to a light white canvas with a sky blue accent and rolling waves (“White wall, blue sea”). Black Sand is also dark but leans on a white accent and rolling waves (“Volcanic shore, white surf”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
