What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Layercake, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Build your website layer by layer.” and the subhead says “A playful no-code site builder where every section stacks like a slice of cake. Colorful by default.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Rainbow Cake, you replace Layercake with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Rainbow Cake is a light template: a white background (#fafafa), near-black type (#0c0a09) and a violet accent (#a855f7) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 18.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with watercolour washes bleeding together, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Bold layout, shared with 59 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Rainbow Cake's own.

How it compares
Within Playful, Rainbow Cake stands out for its violet accent on a white ground. If it is not quite right, Gummy Worm is also light but leans on an emerald accent and an iridescent sheen that shifts hue (“Translucent rainbow chew”). Lemonade Stand is also light but leans on a vivid amber accent and a rising sun and warm light (“Sun yellow, summer sip”). Popcorn Kernel is also light but leans on a red accent and fireworks bursting (“Buttered yellow, kernel pop”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
