About the Stargate template
Stargate evokes the shimmer of a wormhole event horizon—electric cyan accents dissolving into a near-black void, promising travel to another dimension. Cross-dimensional startup culture, parallel-universe fiction, and teleportation-adjacent tech abstractions claim this palette as their own. Measure your wormhole's pull with real-time analytics that track each visitor who steps through.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Gatewalk, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Walk through. Arrive somewhere impossible.” and the subhead says “Gatewalk is a VR exploration app where each portal opens a hand-built alien landscape to wander at your own pace.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Stargate, you replace Gatewalk with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Stargate is a dark template: a deep blue background (#0c1233), pale cyan type (#cffafe) and a vivid sky blue accent (#0ea5e9) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 16.3:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with a swirling portal, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Stargate's own.

How it compares
Within Sci-Fi, Stargate stands out for its vivid sky blue accent on a deep blue ground. If it is not quite right, Matrix is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and green code raining down the screen (“Falling code rain. Pure cyberpunk”). Star Wars Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and an opening crawl through a starfield (“Parallax starfield, far far away”). Cylon Eye is also dark but leans on a red accent and an animated scanner layer (“Red sweep, chrome shell”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
Launch with Stargate in three steps
- Click “Use this template” and create a free account; Stargate is preselected in the page wizard.
- Replace the Gatewalk demo copy with your product's headline and one-line pitch, pick a URL, and optionally set a launch date to show a real countdown.
- Publish and share the link. Every subscriber gets a personal referral link, and you watch signups and top referrers arrive in the dashboard.
