About the Basilisk Eye template
Basilisk Eye channels the petrifying gaze of legendary creatures—deep forest-green background with bright chartreuse accent that glows like a serpent's stare. The palette is hypnotic; the brightest yellow-green against near-black creates optical contrast that's almost uncomfortable, which is exactly the point. Fantasy game studios, creature-design teams, and speculative fiction makers will feel the legendary weight. The high contrast demands attention; you cannot scroll past this template without acknowledgment. What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Stonegaze, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “The stare that stops procrastination.” and the subhead says “A focus app that freezes your distracting apps the moment you look away from your work.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Basilisk Eye, you replace Stonegaze with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Basilisk Eye is a dark template: a deep emerald background (#0a1f14), green type (#bef264) and a vivid green accent (#84cc16) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 13.2:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with a swirling portal, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Basilisk Eye's own.

How it compares
Within Fantasy, Basilisk Eye stands out for its vivid green accent on a deep emerald ground. If it is not quite right, Hydra Swamp is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and an animated kelp layer (“Bog green, multi-head”). Minotaur Maze is also dark but leans on a vivid vermilion accent and veined marble swirling (“Stone labyrinth, torch”). Banshee Wail flips to a light white canvas with a near-black accent and low rolling fog (“Pale spirit, mist white”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
