About the Black Cat template
Black Cat is pure October night—the jet-black background is the darkness that surrounds you, an uncanny yellow accent is a cat's eye catching firelight, and pale cream text glows like a carved jack-o'-lantern. Halloween brands, spooky-game studios, autumn-goods sellers, and superstition enthusiasts claim this. Send your friends an invitation they won't forget with Qubed's referral leaderboard—each recruit brings another familiar into your coven.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Ninelives, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Pet insurance for curious cats.” and the subhead says “Simple pet insurance for cats with clear pricing and claims paid in days. Every life covered.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Black Cat, you replace Ninelives with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Black Cat is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), cream type (#fef3c7) and a vivid amber accent (#facc15) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 17.8:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with fireflies blinking in the dark, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Black Cat's own.

How it compares
Within Seasonal, Black Cat stands out for its vivid amber accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Costume Party is also dark but leans on a vivid vermilion accent and mirror-ball reflections (“Disco strobe orange”). Day of the Dead is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and petals drifting down (“Marigold sugar skull”). Thanksgiving is also dark but leans on a vivid vermilion accent and soft out-of-focus bokeh lights (“Roast warm, candle gold”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
