About the Oil Rig template
Oil Rig conjures the industrial sublime—black gold wells, steel platforms, the aesthetic of extraction and heavy machinery. What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Offshore Ops, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Offshore crew changes, sorted.” and the subhead says “Rotation planning and travel booking for offshore energy crews. No more spreadsheet chaos at 3am.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Oil Rig, you replace Offshore Ops with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Oil Rig is a dark template: a near-black vermilion background (#1c0e02), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a vivid amber accent (#facc15) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 13.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with an animated smoke layer, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Brutalist layout, shared with 39 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Oil Rig's own.

How it compares
Within Industrial, Oil Rig stands out for its vivid amber accent on a near-black vermilion ground. If it is not quite right, Power Grid is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and a network of nodes linking up (“Pylon stack, dusk hum”). Turbine Blue flips to a light pale sky blue canvas with a sky blue accent and clouds drifting past (“Wind turbine, sky”). Copper Wire is also dark but leans on a vivid vermilion accent and circuit traces lighting up (“Electrical bundle, warm”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
