About the Black Sand template
Black Sand strips color to its extremes—absolute black volcanic shore against absolute white surf, no middle ground, no compromise. What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Blackshore, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Prints from the edge of the world” and the subhead says “Blackshore sells limited-edition prints of volcanic coastlines, shot on film and printed on heavy matte archival paper.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Black Sand, you replace Blackshore with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Black Sand is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), white type (#fafafa) and a white accent (#fafafa) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 19:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with rolling waves, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Black Sand's own.

How it compares
Within Nature, Black Sand stands out for its white accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Banana Leaf is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and an animated palms layer (“Tropical green, slow shade”). Palm Oasis flips to a light cream canvas with an emerald accent and an animated palms layer (“Date palm cluster, blue pool”). Eucalyptus is also dark but leans on a light emerald accent and leaves tumbling through the frame (“Silver-blue leaves, sharp scent”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
