About the Mars Red template

What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Redhollow, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Sol 1: the dust storm starts” and the subhead says “Redhollow is a serialized audio drama about a stranded Mars crew, released one sol at a time straight to your phone.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Mars Red, you replace Redhollow with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Mars Red is a dark template: a near-black vermilion background (#1a0a06), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a red accent (#dc2626) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.2:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with slowly orbiting planets, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Star Wars Galaxy layout, shared with 23 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Mars Red's own.

How it compares
Within Sci-Fi, Mars Red stands out for its red accent on a near-black vermilion ground. If it is not quite right, Matrix is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and green code raining down the screen (“Falling code rain. Pure cyberpunk”). Star Wars Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and an opening crawl through a starfield (“Parallax starfield, far far away”). Neon Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and drifting nebula clouds (“Vivid pink/blue galactic cluster”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
