About the Shuttlepod template

What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Hullworks, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Retro-future lamps, bolted by hand” and the subhead says “Hullworks makes small-batch desk lamps from riveted steel and brass, styled like cockpit fixtures from a vintage starship.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Shuttlepod, you replace Hullworks with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Shuttlepod is a dark template: a charcoal background (#1c1917), cream type (#fef3c7) and a vivid amber accent (#fbbf24) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 15.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with blueprint lines drawing themselves, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Holodeck layout, shared with 11 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Shuttlepod's own.

How it compares
Within Sci-Fi, Shuttlepod stands out for its vivid amber accent on a charcoal ground. If it is not quite right, Matrix is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and green code raining down the screen (“Falling code rain. Pure cyberpunk”). Star Wars Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and an opening crawl through a starfield (“Parallax starfield, far far away”). Admiralty is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and Art Deco fans and sunbursts (“Dress uniform, gold trim”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
