About the Spotlight template
Spotlight isolates a single warm beam against pure black—the visual of a solo performer on a dark stage. Theater productions, talent showcases, and performance-focused platforms recognize their aesthetic here; it suggests singular focus and high stakes. Use a referral leaderboard to recruit other performers and audience members.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Stagebeam, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Your demo day, lit properly” and the subhead says “Stagebeam turns a slide deck into a live, spotlit stage show with cue cards, timers and a one-click backup laptop.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Spotlight, you replace Stagebeam with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Spotlight is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), white type (#fafafa) and a vivid amber accent (#fbbf24) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 19:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with shafts of light falling through the frame, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. The layout is hand-built for Spotlight and not shared with any other template in the catalogue.

How it compares
Within Sci-Fi, Spotlight stands out for its vivid amber accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Matrix is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and green code raining down the screen (“Falling code rain. Pure cyberpunk”). Star Wars Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and an opening crawl through a starfield (“Parallax starfield, far far away”). Cosmic is also dark but leans on a light violet accent and drifting nebula clouds (“Deep space drift, parallax stars”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
