About the Groundhog template
Six more weeks of winter foretold by shadow—Groundhog Day's mystique lives in this dark-brown palette with orange undertones. Seasonal timing platforms and winter-sensitive businesses resonate with this predictive, meteorological energy. The earthy brown suggests soil, burrows, the transition between seasons. Your launch feels tied to natural cycles rather than algorithmic growth.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Forecastly, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Six more weeks of what, exactly?” and the subhead says “A hyperlocal seasonal forecast that tells you when spring will really arrive in your garden.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Groundhog, you replace Forecastly with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Groundhog is a dark template: a near-black vermilion background (#1c0e02), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a brown accent (#92400e) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 13.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with gently falling snow, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Manifesto layout, shared with 93 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Groundhog's own.

How it compares
Within Seasonal, Groundhog stands out for its brown accent on a near-black vermilion ground. If it is not quite right, Mardi Gras is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and falling confetti (“Purple gold green”). Spring Bloom flips to a light pink-tinted white canvas with a vivid pink accent and petals drifting down (“Crocus pop, snowmelt”). April Shower flips to a light pale sky blue canvas with a sky blue accent and falling rain streaks (“Soft rain, umbrella”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
