What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Loadscreen, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Every weird launch title, lovingly revisited” and the subhead says “Loadscreen is a weekly podcast digging into early-2000s console games, their strange ads, and the small teams who made them.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use GameCube Violet, you replace Loadscreen with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
GameCube Violet is a dark template: a deep violet background (#1e0a3c), pale violet type (#e9d5ff) and a light violet accent (#a78bfa) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 13.3:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with gem-like facets catching the light, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are GameCube Violet's own.

How it compares
Within Y2K, GameCube Violet stands out for its light violet accent on a deep violet ground. If it is not quite right, Tamagotchi flips to a light pale pink canvas with a near-black accent and drifting pixel blocks (“Pet egg, pixel poop”). Polly Pocket flips to a light pale pink canvas with a light violet accent and floating hearts (“Tiny world, glitter pink”). Lisa Frank flips to a light pale pink canvas with a violet accent and an animated butterflies layer (“Rainbow leopard, dolphin”).
