About the Mirror Ball template
Mirror Ball spins the disco aesthetic—violet accent on black, the palette of mirror balls catching a thousand lights. What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Discoteq, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Find the dance floor before midnight” and the subhead says “Discoteq maps tonight's disco, house, and funk parties near you, with set times and a live crowd-energy meter.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Mirror Ball, you replace Discoteq with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Mirror Ball is a dark template: a near-black background (#0c0a09), white type (#fafafa) and a light violet accent (#a78bfa) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 18.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with mirror-ball reflections, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Mirror Ball's own.

How it compares
Within Y2K, Mirror Ball stands out for its light violet accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, CD-ROM flips to a light pale sky blue canvas with a vivid cyan accent and an iridescent sheen that shifts hue (“Rainbow disc, plastic case”). LCD Screen flips to a light green canvas with a near-black accent and drifting pixel blocks (“Pixelated grey-green numerals”). Zen Chrome flips to a light white canvas with a mid grey accent and ripples spreading across still water (“Minimal silver, soft Y2K curves”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
