About the Gothic Ink template
Gothic Ink resurrects medieval manuscript illumination—black-letter typography against void, with red accent bleeding through like sealing wax. Built for dark fantasy, Gothic literature communities, and academic institutions. Every element reads as something written by candlelight in cold stone halls centuries ago.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Blackletter, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Stories best read by candlelight.” and the subhead says “A gothic fiction podcast of original tales told in full cast. New episodes when the fog rolls in.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Gothic Ink, you replace Blackletter with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Gothic Ink is a dark template: a near-black background (#0c0a09), cream type (#fef3c7) and a red accent (#dc2626) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 17.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with flickering candlelight, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Manifesto layout, shared with 93 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Gothic Ink's own.

How it compares
Within Dark Academia, Gothic Ink stands out for its red accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Candlelit Study is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and flickering candlelight (“Warm halo on dark mahogany”). Ivy Green is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and leaves tumbling through the frame (“University green, brass plaque”). Leather Journal is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and ink blooming through water (“Cracked spine, ink letter”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
