About the Hades Red template

Hades Red descends into the underworld: deep burgundy-black base with blood-red accents and warm tan text suggesting Underworld hellish glow. Dark action studios, indie roguelikes, and underworld-themed brands use this palette because it's mythologically anchored—Styx, Hades, eternal punishment. Red-on-black feels like looking into magma rather than looking at screen, creating tactile infernal descent converting visitors seeking immersion over polish.

What the demo shows

The live demo on this page launches Underfolk, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Myths, told from the underworld side” and the subhead says “A narrative podcast retelling Greek myths from the perspective of ferrymen, shades, and the gods everyone else forgot.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Hades Red, you replace Underfolk with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.

Design details

Hades Red is a dark template: a near-black pink background (#1a0510), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a red accent (#dc2626) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.5:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with glowing embers rising, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Hades Red's own.

How it compares

Within Retro / Gaming, Hades Red stands out for its red accent on a near-black pink ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). Dark Souls is also dark but leans on a vivid orange accent and glowing embers rising (“Bonfire amber, ash dim”). Elden Ring is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and shafts of light falling through the frame (“Erdtree gold, lands between”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
