About the Risk of Rain template
Risk of Rain channels roguelike atmospherics with dark-teal grounds and teal-green accents evoking procedural survival and endless drift. The palette feels dangerous yet playable. Indie gaming studios, roguelike fans, and procedural-generation enthusiasts feel immediately connected. Track conversion timing—do signups spike during late-night gaming sessions?
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Stormloop, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Stay longer. It only gets worse.” and the subhead says “A co-op roguelike where the clock never stops, the planet grows angrier each minute, and your item stack decides who survives.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Risk of Rain, you replace Stormloop with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Risk of Rain is a dark template: a deep sky blue background (#082f49), light emerald type (#a7f3d0) and an emerald accent (#10b981) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 10.8:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with falling rain streaks, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Risk of Rain's own.

How it compares
Within Retro / Gaming, Risk of Rain stands out for its emerald accent on a deep sky blue ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). Hades Red is also dark but leans on a red accent and glowing embers rising (“Underworld styx, scarlet”). Dark Souls is also dark but leans on a vivid orange accent and glowing embers rising (“Bonfire amber, ash dim”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
