The live demo on this page launches Cascadekit, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Build the facility, then break it” and the subhead says “A modding SDK for retro-style shooters with scripted set pieces, physics props, and a level editor that feels like home.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Design details
Half-Life Lambda is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a vivid vermilion accent (#f97316) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.6:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with a sweeping radar, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Half-Life Lambda's own.

How it compares
Within Retro / Gaming, Half-Life Lambda stands out for its vivid vermilion accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). Valorant Red is also dark but leans on a red accent and a glowing hex grid (“Tac shooter crimson”).
