What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Magenta Hours, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Game jam, starting at midnight” and the subhead says “A monthly online game jam that kicks off at 12 a.m. sharp: one theme, one weekend, a room full of night owls.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Midnight Arcade, you replace Magenta Hours with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Midnight Arcade is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), pale pink type (#fce7f3) and a vivid pink accent (#ec4899) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 16.8:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with drifting pixel blocks, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Cyber-Glitch layout, shared with 84 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Midnight Arcade's own.

How it compares
Within Retro / Gaming, Midnight Arcade stands out for its vivid pink accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). Joystick Neon is also dark but leans on a light rose accent and an animated pixel loot layer (“Hot pink button glow”). Save Point is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and drifting magical motes (“Healing teal aura, JRPG”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
