About the VHS Static template
VHS Static crackles with tape-reel energy—magenta and black degradation, the palette of rewound tapes and tracking adjustments. Built for analog revival communities, vaporwave devotees, and brands embracing glitch-aesthetics. Every element feels like it might skip or degrade, suggesting fragile, precious impermanence.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Trackwarp, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Wreck your footage like a worn tape” and the subhead says “A video plugin that adds tracking wobble, chroma bleed and tape warble to your clips in real time, no rendering wait.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use VHS Static, you replace Trackwarp with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
VHS Static is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), pale pink type (#fbcfe8) and a vivid pink accent (#ec4899) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.3:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with CRT scanlines, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Cyber-Glitch layout, shared with 84 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are VHS Static's own.

How it compares
Within Vaporwave, VHS Static stands out for its vivid pink accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Cassette Tape flips to a light pale pink canvas with a light violet accent and flowing contour lines (“Magnetic ribbon, label”). Neon Drink is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and bubbles rising to the surface (“Slushie cup, gas station”). Pool Aqua is also dark but leans on a light cyan accent and underwater light caustics (“Hotel pool, midnight tile”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
