About the SNES Purple template

What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Cartwright, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Back up the carts you already own” and the subhead says “A USB cartridge reader that archives your own 16-bit games and saves to your laptop in one click, no soldering required.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use SNES Purple, you replace Cartwright with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
SNES Purple is a dark template: a dark indigo background (#1e1b4b), pale violet type (#e9d5ff) and a light violet accent (#a78bfa) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 11.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with an animated pixel loot layer, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Cyber-Glitch layout, shared with 84 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are SNES Purple's own.

How it compares
Within Retro / Gaming, SNES Purple stands out for its light violet accent on a dark indigo ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). N64 Grey is also dark but leans on a red accent and dust motes floating in the light (“Cartridge dust, 64-bit haze”). PS1 Polygon is also dark but leans on a light violet accent and gem-like facets catching the light (“Wobbly textures, low-poly”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
