About the Xbox Green template
Xbox Green resurrects early-2000s console aesthetics—that specific Cortana-inspired green (the AI's signature hue), the bootup-hum nostalgia of a generation. The palette triggers muscle memory in anyone who held an original Xbox controller; it's gaming culture as visual language. Retro gaming communities, classic console emulation platforms, and 2000s-nostalgia projects will feel the institutional familiarity. The color choice is so specific that it functions as shorthand; you need not explain what this aesthetic references. Your built-in referral leaderboard becomes a player roster—tracking which friends invited which friends into the gaming circle.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Bootline, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Bring your tower. We bring cables.” and the subhead says “A weekend LAN party revival in a converted warehouse, with split-screen couches, early-2000s shooters, and pizza on the hour.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Xbox Green, you replace Bootline with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Xbox Green is a dark template: a deep teal background (#022c22), light emerald type (#a7f3d0) and an emerald accent (#22c55e) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 11.8:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with floating chrome orbs, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Cyber-Glitch layout, shared with 84 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Xbox Green's own.

How it compares
Within Retro / Gaming, Xbox Green stands out for its emerald accent on a deep teal ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset is also dark but leans on a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). Steam Navy is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and floating UI panels (“Library blue, friend list”). Twitch Purple is also dark but leans on a violet accent and floating hearts (“Stream chat, hype train”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
