About the Blackout template
Blackout Minimal achieves absolute maximalism through negation—pure black with a single white line, the limit of reduction. Only the most confident teams should claim this aesthetic: futurist architects, privacy-first security tools, and brands at peak market dominance. Simplicity here reads as power, strength through subtraction.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Offline, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “The phone that does almost nothing.” and the subhead says “A minimalist phone launcher that turns your screen into one white line of text. Reclaim your attention.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Blackout, you replace Offline with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Blackout is a dark template: a near-black background (#000000), white type (#fafafa) and a white accent (#fafafa) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 20.1:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with an animated single line layer, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Blackout's own.

How it compares
Within Monochrome, Blackout stands out for its white accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, White Void flips to a light white canvas with a near-black accent and an animated single line layer (“Pure white, single black line”). Onyx Minimal is also dark but leans on a white accent and gem-like facets catching the light (“Glossy obsidian, sharp edge”). Paper Fold flips to a light white canvas with a near-black accent and folding origami shapes (“Crisp fold lines, paper”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
