About the Pure Black template
Black on white, nothing else—this monochrome template strips away color entirely, leaving only signal and noise competing on equal footing. No accent color to hide behind, no palette to blame; every word must earn its place against pure contrast. Minimalist movements, design provocateurs, and conceptual artists will recognize this as a statement about reduction; watch real-time analytics to see which words actually move people when decoration is forbidden.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Blackline, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Write. Nothing else.” and the subhead says “A distraction-free writing app with no toolbar, no themes and no excuses. Just black text on white.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Pure Black, you replace Blackline with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Pure Black is a light template: a white background (#fafafa), near-black type (#000000) and a near-black accent (#000000) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 20.1:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with cascading glyph rain, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Pure Black's own.

How it compares
Within Monochrome, Pure Black stands out for its near-black accent on a white ground. If it is not quite right, Pure White flips to a dark near-black canvas with a white accent and a swirling portal (“White on black. Nothing else”). Ink Paper is also light but leans on a near-black accent and ink blooming through water (“Inkwell on cotton paper”). Charcoal Clean flips to a dark dark grey canvas with a white accent and folding origami shapes (“Soft graphite, paper grain”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
