About the Raw Paper template
Raw Paper is pure reductionism: pale cream background with pure black text and zero color accent. Writers, minimalist publishers, and paper-obsessed designers choose this template when actual content becomes the only focal point. The palette mimics unbleached paper and printer's ink, creating tactile authenticity—your waitlist feels printed on a letterpress rather than rendered on screen, driving signups from discerning audiences seeking realness.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Pulp, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Books printed on unbleached paper.” and the subhead says “An indie publisher of short essays on raw, recycled stock. First three titles ship this autumn.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Raw Paper, you replace Pulp with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Raw Paper is a light template: an amber-tinted white background (#fef9e7), near-black type (#0c0a09) and a near-black accent (#0c0a09) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 18.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with dust motes floating in the light, kept quiet behind the copy; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Raw Paper's own.

How it compares
Within Monochrome, Raw Paper stands out for its near-black accent on an amber-tinted white ground. If it is not quite right, Silver Print flips to a dark dark grey canvas with a white accent and liquid chrome flowing across the page (“Darkroom silver, deep black”). Xerox Grey is also light but leans on a near-black accent and CRT scanlines (“Photocopy ghost, fold lines”). Blackout flips to a dark near-black canvas with a white accent and an animated single line layer (“Pure black, single white line”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
