What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Linewise, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “An editor that reads your whole repo” and the subhead says “Linewise is an AI-native code editor that understands your project structure, proposes multi-file edits, and explains every change.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Cursor, you replace Linewise with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Cursor is a dark template: a deep sky blue background (#0e1217), pale blue type (#e8eaed) and a light indigo accent (#7e87eb) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 15.6:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with scrolling terminal output, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Cursor's own.

How it compares
Within Tech, Cursor stands out for its light indigo accent on a deep sky blue ground. If it is not quite right, Arc flips to a light white canvas with a vivid violet accent and an iridescent sheen that shifts hue (“Iridescent gradient, browser tab look”). Perplexity flips to a light white canvas with a dark cyan accent and ink blooming through water (“Ink answer, soft cyan accent”). Ramp flips to a light white canvas with a vivid amber accent and an animated charts layer (“Cool grey + acid yellow, fintech”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
