What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Kindprompt, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Error messages written by a friend” and the subhead says “Kindprompt sits in your shell and rewrites cryptic command errors into plain explanations with the exact fix to try next.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Fish Shell, you replace Kindprompt with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Fish Shell is a dark template: a near-black background (#0c0a09), pale cyan type (#cffafe) and a vivid cyan accent (#06b6d4) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 17.6:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with small fish swimming past, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Fish Shell's own.

How it compares
Within Terminal, Fish Shell stands out for its vivid cyan accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Binary Rain is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and cascading glyph rain (“Falling 0s and 1s. Sister to Matrix”). Retro CRT is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and CRT scanlines (“Phosphor scanlines, 1984 vintage”). Hacker Amber is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and CRT scanlines (“Warm phosphor on near-black”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
