What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Phosphorea, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Insert disk two to continue” and the subhead says “Phosphorea is a narrative text adventure set inside a haunted office computer from 1984, played entirely through a flickering command prompt.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Retro CRT, you replace Phosphorea with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Retro CRT is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), vivid cyan type (#22d3ee) and a vivid cyan accent (#22d3ee) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 11:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with CRT scanlines, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Cyber-Glitch layout, shared with 84 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Retro CRT's own.

How it compares
Within Terminal, Retro CRT stands out for its vivid cyan accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Hacker Amber is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and CRT scanlines (“Warm phosphor on near-black”). Cyber-Glitch is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and glitch slices and RGB shifts (“Neon retro-computing. Scanline grit”). SSH Session is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and a network of nodes linking up (“Dark terminal, secure tunnel feel”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
