What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Pagerwarm, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Hand off on-call without the dread” and the subhead says “Pagerwarm writes the shift handoff for you: open incidents, noisy alerts, and what the last engineer tried at 3 a.m.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Hacker Amber, you replace Pagerwarm with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Hacker Amber is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), amber type (#fcd34d) and a vivid amber accent (#fbbf24) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 13.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with CRT scanlines, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Matrix layout, shared with 16 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Hacker Amber's own.

How it compares
Within Terminal, Hacker Amber stands out for its vivid amber accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Cyber-Glitch is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and glitch slices and RGB shifts (“Neon retro-computing. Scanline grit”). SSH Session is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and a network of nodes linking up (“Dark terminal, secure tunnel feel”). vim --dark is also dark but leans on a muted emerald accent and scrolling terminal output (“Solarized dark, modal editor”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
