About the Santa Monica template
Neon pink #f472b6 reflects in a #1a0510 tide pool—a vaporwave waitlist for pier arcades and ferris wheels. Y2K nostalgia, indie games, and fashion brands riding retro vibes own this palette. The darkness makes the pink feel damp and electric, evoking phosphorescence. Qubed's real-time analytics let you see signups spike like late-night boardwalk crowds.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Pier Hours, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Vintage finds from the boardwalk” and the subhead says “A weekly online drop of California beach vintage: windbreakers, surf tees and souvenir jackets, every piece one of one.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Santa Monica, you replace Pier Hours with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Santa Monica is a dark template: a near-black pink background (#1a0510), pale pink type (#fbcfe8) and a light pink accent (#f472b6) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.2:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with strings of festive lights, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Sunset layout, shared with 47 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Santa Monica's own.

How it compares
Within Vaporwave, Santa Monica stands out for its light pink accent on a near-black pink ground. If it is not quite right, Miami 92 flips to a light pale pink canvas with a vivid cyan accent and Art Deco fans and sunbursts (“Pastel deco facade”). Trance Purple is also dark but leans on a violet accent and bouncing equalizer bars (“Slow synth, midnight bloom”). Liquid Drum is also dark but leans on a vivid cyan accent and low rolling fog (“Slow d&b, blue smoke”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
