Adjust the boost amount
Tune how many spots each referral is worth.
The boost is 3 spots per referral — calibrated from internal data across thousands of Qubed launches as the sweet spot between motivating shares and keeping the leaderboard meaningful. Per-page boost overrides are on the roadmap; today the value is fixed at 3 across every page.
Higher boosts (5–10) work for short, urgent campaigns where the queue is the entire game — think exclusive drops or invite-only betas. They make the leaderboard feel high-stakes but compress positions fast, so the top of the list becomes a tie.
Lower boosts (1–2) work for longer waitlists where you want gradual movement. The numbers feel more honest and the queue stays well-ordered, which matters when you're inviting people in waves rather than all at once.
Whatever you pick, don't change it once you have signups. Position is recalculated on read using the current boost value, so a mid-flight change will reshuffle everyone. The dashboard warns you before saving if the page already has subscribers.
