About the Herbarium template

What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Pressbook, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Press every flower you find.” and the subhead says “A plant identification app that doubles as a digital herbarium with labels, dates and locations.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Herbarium, you replace Pressbook with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Herbarium is a light template: a cream background (#fef3c7), brown type (#3f2f0e) and a dark green accent (#65a30d) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 11.6:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with petals drifting down, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Editorial layout, shared with 55 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Herbarium's own.

How it compares
Within Dark Academia, Herbarium stands out for its dark green accent on a cream ground. If it is not quite right, Fossil Drawer flips to a dark near-black vermilion canvas with a brown accent and topographic contour lines (“Specimen, dust label”). Library Burgundy flips to a dark deep red canvas with a vivid amber accent and an animated pages layer (“Leather chairs, oxblood spines”). Parchment Serif is also light but leans on a brown accent and ink blooming through water (“Aged paper, ink quill”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
