About the Quill Ink template
Feather pen dragged through inkpot, leaving dark trails on parchment—Quill Ink is calligraphy and correspondence, handwritten care in a digital age. Suited to letter-writing platforms, journaling apps, or brands celebrating analog grace. The cream canvas receives dark ink like paper receiving intention. Your referral leaderboard reads like a chain-letter invitation, spreading by hand.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Featherpress, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Letters written with actual quills.” and the subhead says “A calligraphy service that hand-writes invitations and thank-you notes with quill and iron-gall ink.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Quill Ink, you replace Featherpress with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Quill Ink is a light template: a cream background (#fef3c7), charcoal type (#1c1917) and a near-black vermilion accent (#1c0e02) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 15.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with ink blooming through water, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Letter layout, shared with 77 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Quill Ink's own.

How it compares
Within Dark Academia, Quill Ink stands out for its near-black vermilion accent on a cream ground. If it is not quite right, Drama Club flips to a dark near-black pink canvas with a vivid amber accent and folds of silk rippling (“Velvet curtain, spotlight”). Debate Team flips to a dark brown canvas with a vivid amber accent and shafts of light falling through the frame (“Lectern oak, gavel”). Chess Club is also light but leans on a near-black vermilion accent and veined marble swirling (“Board pieces, marble king”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
