What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Quillnote, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Write your thesis like it's 1890.” and the subhead says “A distraction-free thesis editor with footnotes that behave and a serif that makes every draft feel important.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Parchment Serif, you replace Quillnote with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Parchment Serif is a light template: a cream background (#fef3c7), charcoal type (#1c1917) and a brown accent (#7c2d12) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 15.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with ink blooming through water, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Letter layout, shared with 77 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Parchment Serif's own.

How it compares
Within Dark Academia, Parchment Serif stands out for its brown accent on a cream ground. If it is not quite right, Oxford Oak flips to a dark brown canvas with an amber accent and flickering candlelight (“Wood-panel walls, brass”). Gothic Ink flips to a dark near-black canvas with a red accent and flickering candlelight (“Black-letter type, candle wax”). Candlelit Study flips to a dark charcoal canvas with a vivid amber accent and flickering candlelight (“Warm halo on dark mahogany”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
