What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Peashell, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Four shades of green, pocket-sized” and the subhead says “An open-source handheld kit you solder yourself, with a reflective LCD, real buttons, and a slot for homebrew cartridges.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Gameboy Green, you replace Peashell with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Gameboy Green is a light template: a chartreuse background (#9bbc0f), deep green type (#0f380f) and a deep green accent (#0f380f) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 6:1 contrast ratio against the background, which clears WCAG AA for body copy. Behind the copy the page animates with drifting pixel blocks, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Matrix layout, shared with 16 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Gameboy Green's own.

How it compares
Within Retro / Gaming, Gameboy Green stands out for its deep green accent on a chartreuse ground. If it is not quite right, Synthwave Sunset flips to a dark deep violet canvas with a vivid pink accent and the odd shooting star (“Neon grid into the horizon”). Arcade Neon flips to a dark near-black blue canvas with a vivid rose accent and drifting pixel blocks (“High score, deep midnight”). NES Red flips to a dark charcoal canvas with a red accent and drifting pixel blocks (“Cartridge nostalgia, blocky type”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
