About the Day of the Dead template

Marigold bright against the deep void of Día de Muertos—sugar-skull orange and black-as-grave. Suited to cultural brands, Latin-heritage companies, or festivals celebrating the dead with vibrant joy. The palette dances between memory and celebration. Your custom domain becomes an ofrenda: a digital altar for your community to gather.

What the demo shows

The live demo on this page launches Marigold, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Remember them with color.” and the subhead says “A beautiful digital ofrenda to share photos, stories and recipes of loved ones with your whole family.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Day of the Dead, you replace Marigold with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.

Design details

Day of the Dead is a dark template: a near-black pink background (#1a0510), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a vivid amber accent (#fbbf24) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.5:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with petals drifting down, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Day of the Dead's own.

How it compares

Within Seasonal, Day of the Dead stands out for its vivid amber accent on a near-black pink ground. If it is not quite right, Thanksgiving is also dark but leans on a vivid vermilion accent and soft out-of-focus bokeh lights (“Roast warm, candle gold”). Cornucopia is also dark but leans on a vivid orange accent and leaves tumbling through the frame (“Harvest horn, fruit”). Cyber Monday is also dark but leans on a red accent and glitch slices and RGB shifts (“Sale red, deal blink”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.

Launch with Day of the Dead in three steps

  1. Click “Use this template” and create a free account; Day of the Dead is preselected in the page wizard.
  2. Replace the Marigold demo copy with your product's headline and one-line pitch, pick a URL, and optionally set a launch date to show a real countdown.
