About the Asteroid Field template

The referral leaderboard gamifies your community as if each signup were a discovered celestial body.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Drift Miners, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Mine rocks. Dodge rocks. Repeat.” and the subhead says “Drift Miners is a cozy co-op game where you and friends salvage asteroids, upgrade your rig, and build a floating outpost.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Asteroid Field, you replace Drift Miners with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Asteroid Field is a dark template: a charcoal background (#1c1917), off-white type (#e5e5e5) and a mid grey accent (#a3a3a3) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 13.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with an animated asteroids layer, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Star Wars Galaxy layout, shared with 23 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Asteroid Field's own.

How it compares
Within Sci-Fi, Asteroid Field stands out for its mid grey accent on a charcoal ground. If it is not quite right, Matrix is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and green code raining down the screen (“Falling code rain. Pure cyberpunk”). Star Wars Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and an opening crawl through a starfield (“Parallax starfield, far far away”). Alien Temple is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and glowing runes (“Bioluminescent jade glyphs”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
