About the Void Space template
Absolute black swallows everything except a single white star—the universe as minimalist manifesto. This sci-fi template speaks to apps focused on cosmic scale, space exploration content, or brands selling the promise of infinite possibility. Every element floats alone against the void, making sparse copy and singular CTAs devastatingly clear.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Onelight, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “A blank page, and nothing else” and the subhead says “Onelight is a distraction-free writing app with a pitch-black canvas, a single cursor, and your words saved locally.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Void Space, you replace Onelight with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Void Space is a dark template: a near-black background (#000000), off-white type (#e5e5e5) and a white accent (#ffffff) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 16.7:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with a slow-twinkling starfield, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Spotlight layout, shared with 111 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Void Space's own.

How it compares
Within Sci-Fi, Void Space stands out for its white accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Matrix is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and green code raining down the screen (“Falling code rain. Pure cyberpunk”). Star Wars Galaxy is also dark but leans on a vivid amber accent and an opening crawl through a starfield (“Parallax starfield, far far away”). Asteroid Field is also dark but leans on a mid grey accent and an animated asteroids layer (“Drifting rocks, low parallax”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
Launch with Void Space in three steps
- Click “Use this template” and create a free account; Void Space is preselected in the page wizard.
- Replace the Onelight demo copy with your product's headline and one-line pitch, pick a URL, and optionally set a launch date to show a real countdown.
- Publish and share the link. Every subscriber gets a personal referral link, and you watch signups and top referrers arrive in the dashboard.
