About the Cloudflare Orange template

What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Kilnwall, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Stop bad bots at the edge.” and the subhead says “Kilnwall inspects traffic at edge nodes worldwide and blocks scrapers, credential stuffers and abusive bursts before they reach your servers.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Cloudflare Orange, you replace Kilnwall with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Cloudflare Orange is a dark template: a near-black background (#0a0a0a), pale orange type (#fed7aa) and a vivid vermilion accent (#f97316) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 14.6:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with an animated edge layer, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Minimal layout, shared with 137 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Cloudflare Orange's own.

How it compares
Within Tech, Cloudflare Orange stands out for its vivid vermilion accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Heroku Purple is also dark but leans on a violet accent and drifting magical motes (“Dyno purple nostalgia”). GitHub Dark is also dark but leans on an emerald accent and an animated commits layer (“Pull-request green on graphite”).
