About the Halftone template
Halftone distills design to dots and contrasts—off-white with solid black accents and text, evoking offset printing and 1960s graphic design. Design studios, print-focused creative agencies, and vintage-product startups use this palette to broadcast design literacy without color. Stark black-on-white forces every word and image to earn its weight on the page. Track which design publications and creative communities send your highest-intent signups. This template suits makers for whom craft and intentionality are non-negotiable.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Dotscreen, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Riso prints from your phone.” and the subhead says “Send us a photo, we print it in halftone on our risograph and mail it. Small runs, big texture.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Halftone, you replace Dotscreen with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Halftone is a light template: a white background (#fafafa), near-black type (#0c0a09) and a near-black accent (#0c0a09) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 18.9:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with halftone dot patterns, clearly visible; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Magazine layout, shared with 9 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Halftone's own.

How it compares
Within Monochrome, Halftone stands out for its near-black accent on a white ground. If it is not quite right, Marker Sketch is also light but leans on a near-black accent and hand-drawn doodles (“Hand-drawn lines, scrappy”). Raw Paper is also light but leans on a near-black accent and dust motes floating in the light (“Coarse paper, ink alone”). Silver Print flips to a dark dark grey canvas with a white accent and liquid chrome flowing across the page (“Darkroom silver, deep black”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
