About the Solarized Dark template

What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Hexgarden, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Where editor themes are grown, not copied” and the subhead says “Hexgarden is a community for people who build editor color schemes, with contrast checkers, shared palettes, and monthly theme jams.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Solarized Dark, you replace Hexgarden with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Solarized Dark is a dark template: a deep cyan background (#002b36), mid grey type (#93a1a1) and a sky blue accent (#268bd2) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 5.6:1 contrast ratio against the background, which clears WCAG AA for body copy. Behind the copy the page animates with a pulsing dot grid, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. Structurally it uses the Cyber-Glitch layout, shared with 84 other templates, but the palette, the motion and the demo copy are Solarized Dark's own.

How it compares
Within Terminal, Solarized Dark stands out for its sky blue accent on a deep cyan ground. If it is not quite right, Solarized Light flips to a light cream canvas with a sky blue accent and an animated typewriter layer (“Pale yellow paper, ink syntax”). Nord Terminal is also dark but leans on a cyan accent and gently falling snow (“Polar night, frost cyan”). Gruvbox Dark is also dark but leans on a vivid orange accent and glowing embers rising (“Retro warm, comfy mono”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
