About the Noir template
Noir strips away color entirely—pure black canvas, pure white text, and the void between them where dramatic typography becomes your only visual language. This template demands minimalist restraint; every character must earn its place. Suited for film festivals, design studios, art galleries, and literary journals launching digital presences. The starkness appeals to curators and creatives who trust viewers to fill emotional space with their own interpretation. White-on-black inverts expectation; text becomes image. This Pro-tier template attracts founders who understand that limitation breeds creativity. A custom domain ensures your waitlist reads as institutional authority, not temporary signup.
What the demo shows
The live demo on this page launches Lowlight, a made-up product we wrote to show the template with realistic copy: the headline reads “Every photo is a crime scene.” and the subhead says “A black-and-white film simulation app with grain, shadow and moody contrast tuned by hand.” Below it you see the signup form, a demo launch countdown and the share-to-climb referral panel exactly as a visitor would. Try the form: in the demo nothing is stored. When you use Noir, you replace Lowlight with your own product name, headline, subhead and logo; the palette and motion come with it and every colour stays editable.
Design details
Noir is a dark template: a near-black background (#000000), white type (#ffffff) and a white accent (#ffffff) on the join button, the countdown and the referral highlights. Body text sits at a 21:1 contrast ratio against the background, comfortably past the WCAG AAA threshold. Behind the copy the page animates with falling rain streaks, front and centre; visitors who ask their device for reduced motion get a still frame instead. The layout is hand-built for Noir and not shared with any other template in the catalogue.

How it compares
Within Art / Abstract, Noir stands out for its white accent on a near-black ground. If it is not quite right, Ukiyo-e flips to a light white canvas with a red accent and rolling waves (“Indigo wave, cherry red moon”). Picasso Blue is also dark but leans on a pale sky blue accent and low rolling fog (“Cobalt period, gaunt forms”). Mondrian Grid flips to a light white canvas with a red accent and Bauhaus circles, squares and bars (“Black bars, primaries pop”). All of them share the same signup, referral and analytics features, so switching later only changes the look.
